What do you do for a living?
I'm an Assistant Management Accountant, very exciting!
How long have you been running with EGRC?
I started on 9th January 2017 with off the starting blocks so just over 2 years.
What do you enjoy most about running?
The feeling of achievement, it has helped me to regain a lot of self confidence and belief in my own abilities. I also love the friends I have made and the opportunities it has given me to try new things that I thought I never would be capable of! It's nice to believe I can achieve my goals. When I think back over the last 2 years, i can't quite believe all that i have done.
How do you spend the rest of your time?
I have been a Beaver Scout leader since 2011. I enjoy playing my ukulele and am a member of the Bristol Ukulele Jam. I have recently joined a gym and also love dancing. Oh and I'm a part time bar maid at Pomphrey Hill Pavilion too!
What is your favourite food?
It depends on what mood I'm in, chilli, pizza or roast beef!
Do you have a favourite race/event/distance? If so tell us about it.
I really loved the support all the way round the Bath Half marathon, however, the Bristol 10k will always be my favourite. It was my first race in 2017 and I just love the atmosphere and the support running in my home city with lots of fellow Emersons Green Runners.
Where is the best place you have ever run?
Along the Mall at the end of the London Marathon! Best feeling ever and it took a very long time to get there!
What is top of your bucket list?
To run the London Marathon again when I turn 50 in 2022!
Describe what running means to you in 3 words.
Friendship, support and achievement.
